CrossFit is a strength and conditioning program that aims to forge a broad, general, and inclusive fitness. We define CrossFit as a method of training that combines constantly varied, functional movements, executed at high intensity.

We use functional exercise, plyometrics, conditioning training, Olympic weightlifting, powerlifting, gymnastics, running and jumping to help us reach our goals. Our program mimics the movements in everyday life – we lift objects from the ground, jump, run, throw, and pull ourselves up. These are functional exercises, and they work extremely well.

Getting started at MBS CrossFit is easy. We offer training to all skill levels, so whether you are just beginning or actively competing in sport, you can train with us.

2. Enroll in On Ramp (attendance of FREE workout is not required to enroll in On Ramp)

1. FREE CROSSFIT WORKOUT
Curious about CrossFit? Join us for a Free Community Workout at our hangar! This is the perfect time to see what MBS CrossFit is all about. These workouts are designed for newcomers with no previous CrossFit experience. Join us for a great workout, see the facility and meet our outstanding community.

FREE Workouts are every Wednesday at 6:00 PM and Saturday at 10:00 AM

2. ENROLL IN OUR ON RAMP COURSE!
This is where your journey begins! Our On Ramp Program serves as an introduction to the CrossFit methods, where you will be exposed to our movement curriculum as well as progressive introduction to the intensity levels inherent in our training. It is designed in a way the all skill levels can participate and ultimately succeed in our group WOD classes!

Whether you are already familiar with CrossFit or not, these sessions will be used to sharpen your form, learn the more technical movements, and leave you with a firm grasp of the exercises and substitutions that suit your specific needs in order to prepare you to exceed your goals!

This program is a prerequisite for joining our group classes. It meets 3 days a week for 4 weeks and is limited to 8 people per session. Only 2 On Ramp sessions are offered each month, please check our schedule for the next start date.

If the times/days the session is offered do not meet your schedule or you would like more individualized attention during training, contact us to schedule 1-on-1 private training.

Please note: If you have pre-existing injuries or are severely deconditioned, additional private coaching sessions may be required before joining our group classes.

2012 On Ramp Schedule:
Evening - January 3 – January 29
Morning – January 14 – February 8

3. CHOOSE MEMBERSHIP OPTION
Once you have completed On Ramp, you can participate in our group classes. Depending on your fitness goals, we offer 3x/week and Unlimited membership options. We have over 60 classes a week for beginner, intermediate, and advanced athletes. See our Rates and Schedule pages for more information.

Workout of the Day

Get fit daily in our Workout of the Day. Constantly varied workouts prepare you for the unknown demands in life. Watch “What is CrossFit” video. (Completion of our Beginner programs or similar is required for enrollment in our WOD program).

 

Strength

Make the weight feel “lighter” in your WODs and get on a consistent lifting program with basic barbell lifts and assistance work. Intermediate and Advanced lifting programs. Must have 3 months experience in CrossFit before attending.

CF Level 1

Intermediate to beginner level class. Perfect for those coming out of On Ramp or recovering from injury.

Women’s Only

Do your daily WOD with the women of CrossFit. A friendly, up-beat environment with all the same WODs, but with women.

Endurance

Improve your performance, fitness and endurance sport potential with interval and speed workouts mixed with running and/or rowing WODs.

Competitors

For Rx athletes that wish to improve their performance in the competition setting. This is a competitive, team environment that will push you to the next level.
