Bender finishing strong!

Workout 11.4 at MBS

MBS will be hosting workout 11.4 tomorrow for anyone that wants to join. We will begin with the first heat at 9:40 AM and run roughly every 20 minutes until completion or noon, whichever comes first. Heats will be assigned on a first-come, first-serve basis. Meaning, you show up and sign up for a heat on the whiteboard. There will be between 8-12 athletes per heat. We willl make sure everyone gets a chance to do the workout.

This weekend is going to be FREE of charge, so we encourage all garage and local CF'ers to come and hang on the rings  (if you get that far) with us. Keeping it simple and fun. Hope to see you here!

3. Nice MU, Bender! From a NYTimes article today called "What Is The Single Best Exercise?":

"Ask a dozen physiologists which exercise is best, and you’ll get a dozen wildly divergent replies. 'Trying to choose a single best exercise is like trying to condense the entire field” of exercise science, said Martin Gibala, the chairman of the department of kinesiology at McMaster University in Hamilton, Ontario.

But when pressed, he suggested one of the foundations of old-fashioned calisthenics: the burpee, in which you drop to the ground, kick your feet out behind you, pull your feet back in and leap up as high as you ca'. 'It builds muscles. It builds endurance.” He paused. 'But it’s hard to imagine most people enjoying' an all-burpees program, 'or sticking with it for long.'”

All the more reason to get through those burpees fast! :-)
