CrossFitter’s are an amazing group of people that unite to help those in need time and again! We hope you will join us in raising funds and spirits for a wonderful man who suffered a horrific freak accident and is now at Craig Hospital only a few doors down from Kevin Ogar!
Sherown was hurt on January 16th when he fell awkwardly while on vacation with friends in San Diego. The fall broke his 5th vertebrae. The hospital has classified the injury as a 5C incomplete spinal cord injury (incomplete meaning there is some feeling below the area of injury, but no movement). Surgery was done to put pins in the 5th vertebrae and a plate attaching the 5th vertebrae to the 4th vertebrae. He is now back in Colorado but currently classified as a quadriplegic.
Sherown is known around MBS CrossFit as “Mighty Mouse” he may be small but this guy is STRONG. As an avid CrossFitter, husband and a father to 2 young children, it is obvious that Sherown isn’t afraid of hard work, and with the support of friends, family and the CrossFit community we believe that his progress will surprise us all!
He is one of those natural athletes who kind of annoy you at first because they make everything look so easy…but then he proved himself an athlete who inspires everyone daily because of his fierce dedication, determination, and willingness to fail…all while encouraging everyone else. He is one of the most humble souls you’ll ever meet and we are going to do everything we can to help him and his family during this trying time…and we hope you all will join us.
